I talked with Ms. Ford about fine tuning my estate planning documents from 15 years ago, done by an attorney in another state. Ms. Ford recommended that since I officially have residence in that state I should have my estate plan fine tuned in that state. Technically and ethically, she could have taken my business but she felt I would be better served by going with a different lawyer. This revealed something really important about her level of professionalism and integrity.
